The African hip-hop landscape is steadily heating up with new releases and fiery exchanges.
On May 10, 2024, Ghanaian hip-hop sensation Sarkodie dropped a bold single titled ‘Brag‘, reaffirming his status as Africa’s top rapper.
In this track, Sarkodie proudly name-dropped Nigerian music icons Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and Asake, while asserting his dominance in the African music scene.
He even went as far as claiming that his only competition lies with American rap heavyweights Kendrick Lamar and Drake.
Following the release of ‘Brag‘, a fan on Instagram tagged Nigerian rapper Dremo, urging him to respond to Sarkodie’s claims. Dremo’s response? “Hold my beer.”
