On Tuesday, officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) reported the capture of 20 individuals suspected of internet fraud in Lugbe, Abuja.
The EFCC shared this information in a statement on their official social media account.
These arrests were made based on reliable information suggesting their participation in online criminal activities.
The identities of the suspects haven’t been revealed as investigations by the anti-corruption agency are ongoing.
Once the investigations are complete, the suspects will face charges in court. Among the items seized from them were a car, laptops, and mobile phones.
